After many wonderful years, Chris has retired and The Moody Cow has now closed. We'd like to thank everyone who supported the pub over the years and helped make it such a special place. We also wish Chris a happy and fulfilling retirement, I'm sure we'll see quite a bit of him dropping in at The Loughpool.
The good news is that the same passion for great food, quality drinks and genuine hospitality continues here at The Loughpool. Run by Chris' son, James, The Loughpool shares the same family values; commitment to quality, locally sourced ingredients and the friendly atmosphere that so many Moody Cow customers came to know and love. We're a short drive away, only just over 6 miles from the Moody Cow.
Whether you're joining us for a relaxed lunch, an evening meal with friends and family, or simply calling in for a drink, you'll find freshly prepared seasonal food, a carefully chosen selection of local ales, ciders and wines, and the warm, personal welcome that has always been at the heart of the family business.
